Please
perform a firmware upgrade. It’s now an automatic switching of the resolution
implemented!

Advantage of the automatic switching of the resolution is that the broadcasted signal
from the TV- station to the pure flat screen will be forwarded (via HDMI).
Disadvantage: The switching from one station to another station with a
different resolution lasts much longer, since the flat panel is also at each
switch will need to adapt to. Depending on the type of flat panel it can take up
to 3 seconds or more before a program with a different resolution is visible.

If you want to use the automatic switching of the resolution switch the
"TV resolution" in the video menu (or via the shortcut button on the
remote "V. format) to AUTO.

Internal tests have shown that it can be useful let the NanoXX upscale channels
in 720p to 1080i because the NanoXX upscaling makes an excellent picture (much
better than many flat panels).

Via
satellite (and also in cable) HDTV broadcasts are either 720p or 1080i, since
for showings with a 1080p resolution at much higher data rates would be needed.
The broadcast would be too expensive. The 1080p resolution is therefore of the
Blu- ray technology (or similar) reserved.

The NanoXX has for this reason "only" a version 1.2 HDMI port, because
the data transmission speed of this version is completely sufficient for the
maximum resolution of 1080i. Only for the resolution in 1080p HDMI version 1.3
is required.

In this context we would like to point out that the NanoXX converts the
"normal" programs SDTV (Standard Definition) in higher resolutions (optionally)
720p or 1080i. This is the so-called upscaling NanoXX was often praised by the
trade press, particularly because of broadcasts in 16:9 SDTV better image quality
results are produced. Many customers had reported that in-studio broadcasts of
public service broadcasters believed that this transfer would be in HDTV.
Prerequisite for a brilliant picture is of course that your flatscreen is connected
via HDMI.

The Dolby signal can also be transferred via HDMI (menu -> audio settings:
