What function does the VCR scart socket have? When I’m connecting a device via scart to the NanoXX would the video played out properly? (Preferably upscaled)?

The VCR- scart socket is an analogue audio- and video- connector. The socket is designed for connecting a VCR to make analogue records for example. On both Scart sockets you’ll get a normal analogue PAL signal (576i). When playing a video cassette the analogue signal will be send trough the NanoXX (switching voltage of the video provided). The signal is therefore not really processed by the NanoXX. It’s only send trough from the VCR scart socket to the TV scart socket 1 to 1, in order to have an on the TV-scart-socket connected TV forwarded. There is no up scaling to HDMI.

The NanoXX is a high-tech HDTV Multi Recorder. We strongly recommend to record digital on an USB- hard drive by connecting one to the receiver. Even conventional PAL transmissions in MPEG2 the NanoXX will process them for better quality to a higher screen resolution (720p or 1080i) by up scaling. The up scaling of NanoXX 9500HD (C) is extremely high, as the variety of journals have confirmed. Of course, you only receive the same brilliant picture (both SDTV and HDTV broadcasts), if you have an HD-Ready Flat Panel or FullHD and using the audio / video via HDMI.
