The simultaneous recording and viewing of another program (on the same transponder) is possible. Do I need a special loop-through cable or can I activate the function internally? I have only one satellite connector on the wall.

You only need one Satellite connection. Simply connect the coaxial cable on the rear of the receiver to the F-connector and you're done. Everything else is done internally.
